Client: Cable & Wireless

Event:
Themed Gala Dinner hosted in a marquee with a champagne reception, dodgems , fireworks display, live band , charity casino, silent auction and event photographer
Brief
“We want to entertain our most important client , Norwich Union. We don’t want to do the normal dinner dance we won’t something different which above all else will be truly memorable. The only problem is I don’t have the time, or contacts to organise such an event.”
Concept:
The client wanted something which would really have the “wow” factor both in terms of the location and the event itself. Working closely with the client a luxurious country hotel was sourced as the venue. The client wanted it to a party to remember so theming, dodgems and other activities were planned into the budget for the event.
Venue:
Marriott Sprowston Manor in Norwich. An ideal hotel from for it’s setting, facilities and accommodation. All negotiations were carried out direct with the hotel as part of the overall service.
Contacts:
We liaised with the hotel, theming company, dodgems operators, casino company, marquee hire company and professional photographer. All contacts were managed by Mad For It Events allowing the client to sit back, relax and enjoy the party
The Outcome
“Dear Rupert & David,
I’d like to take this opportunity to say a formal “Thank You” to you and the Mad For It team for planning and running a fantastic evening on 30th September 2004.
Anyone who has had to plan a corporate ball for 300 people will know how much time and effort goes into getting that many people in the same place at the same time and keeping them happy. However, you rose to the challenge and even managed to meet my unreasonable demands of “We want fireworks” and “Can you get hold of some Dodgems” and “By the way we don’t have as much to spend as I thought we would... Could you get all that stuff a little cheaper?”
The whole evening went off without a hitch thanks to you and your team, it was lovely to be able to let my hair down and enjoy the evening without worrying about the little details”
